The Making of Memory

Crochet Doilies, Fabric Stiffener, Fishing Line and Wire

This piece took over 100 hours to make and was a true labor of love. There were many hiccups during the build and I felt it important to document the entire process including the most intimate moments of failure and frustration.

Memory is its namesake, this is a specific moment in my life. A moment in which I thought my world was ending and I couldn’t process the potential of my future. However over time I have come to realize that this moment is what set me free and push me to be where I am today, making art and living in my favorite city.

Leg Test - This is me figuring out how I was going to structurally make Memory and test the fabric stiffener.
